Book discussion with Jeff Greenfield, author of “If Kennedy Lived”

The Darien LWV is excited to host political and cultural author Jeff Greenfield, discussing his new book “If Kennedy Lived”. The program is sponsored in conjunction with Barrett Books of Darien and will be held at the Community Association (DCA), 274 Middlesex Road on Tuesday, October 29th 7:00 PM -9:30 PM, Tickets at $10, can be purchased at Barrett Books 314 Heights Road, at Darien LWV events or at the door. The event is open to the public.

Book Summary – What if JFK were not killed that fateful day? How would that have affected the 1964 election, the Vietnam War, Civil Rights, the Cold War? The answers Jeff Greenfield provides and the scenarios he develops are startlingly realistic, rich in detail, shocking in their projections but always deeply, remarkably plausible.
Author Biography – Jeff Greenfield has over 30 years experience as a political, media and culture reporter. He has done celebrated work for ABC, CBS, CNN and PBS and is both a print and on-line news journalist. He is the recipient of four Emmy awards for reporting on South Africa and profiles of Ross Perot and Robert Kennedy. He is the author or co-author of twelve books and has written for Time Magazine, The New York Times and Slate Magazine. His book “Then Everything Changed – Stunning Alternative Histories of American Politics” was a finalist for the 2011 Sidewise Award for Alternate History.
